OUR ORIGINS
Public Mischief Collective emerged from a shared desire to dismantle traditional theatrical boundaries and rebuild them with absurdity and heart in mind. Founded in the the city of San Diego, we began our journey in our homes, inspired by our friends, neighbors, community, and our own individual experiences.
Today, we continue to push the envelope of non-traditional performance, blending street theatre aesthetics with powerful storytelling that honors our ancestors. Our mission is to create immersive experiences that celebrate the raw, unpolished truth of the human condition and relish in the laughter we can generate from today's near-nonsensical political climate.
OUR MISSION
To build work that confronts systems of fear, silence, and violence through laughter, community-built performance, and bold subversion: turning streets into playgrounds, exposing the absurd, and dropping pebbles that ripple truth to power.
The Public Mischief Collective exists to provoke, to disrupt, and to inspire.
